Hello. I have recently encountered a problem with my HP All-in-One computer. A couple of weeks ago I replaced the HDD with a 1TB SSD and intially there was no problem. Now I find that most of the time the PC display is blank. I can tell from the start-up music though that the computer does boot up Windows. The problem still arises even if I Press F10 to enter SETUP so I can't see that this is a problem with Windows or the SSD.
If I keeep turing the computer on and off (sometimes 30 times or more!) it eventua;lly works properly. There does not seem to be any obvious pattern to when the display comes on and when it does not. When it is on it stays on.
Any ideas what the problem could be please?
Thank you.

Thanks for engaging in HP support Forums! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips! I see from your post that you are having issues related to your HP All in one PC. Don't worry I'll be glad to assist you.
To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
Have you recently made any software or hardware changes on the PC before the issue started?
Did it happen after a recent software or Windows update?
Did you try to update the Bios?
In the meantime, let's try these steps here:
Perform a Hard reset on the PC:
Many startup errors and other problems can be resolved by decreasing the amount of power stored in hardware components. Decreasing stored power is sometimes referred to as a "Hard Reset". Use the following steps to perform a hard reset on a computer:
1. If Windows is open, click Start and then Shutdown.
If Windows is not open and the computer has power, press and hold the power button on the computer until the computer shuts off.
2. With the power off, disconnect the power cord from the back of the computer.
3. With the power off and the power cord disconnected, press the power button on the computer for 5 seconds. The power light indicator on or near the power button might turn on briefly but then go out.
4. Reconnect the power cord and turn on the power.
Next thing, I would suggest here is to follow the steps suggested in the support document for - HP All-in-One Desktop PCs - Computer Starts but Monitor/Screen Remains Blank (Windows 😎
Could you please respond to this post with the details and with the results of the troubleshooting as this will help you resolve this issue.
Eagerly waiting for your response!

Hi. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond.
I have not made any software changes but didreplace the hard disk with a 1TB SSD about a week before the problem started. For the first week after installation the computer worked fine. I have not updated the BIOS but have tried the hardreset and that did not recify the issue.
The link that you provided is really helpful and I will work through the steps suggested bu HP. I will update the forum one way or the other when I haveworked them through.
Thank you again.

Good morning.
Well, here is the latest on my PC problem . . .
Having gone through all other possibilities I got to the point where it looked like I was going to have to take the plunge and take the computer apart. Fortunately, it has now decided to work again and the display comes on every time. I know that this is unlikely to last!. My guess is that there must be a bad joint or connector causing the problem but there are no indications that this is related to temperature or movement (banging the case!)
So, with the inevitable in mind, I'll wait until it goes wrong again and then dive in. In the meantime thank you again for all of your help and support.

As I see you have diagnosed the issue where it can be an issue with the bad connector.
I would suggest you keep the computer under observation and check how it performs.
