HP U28 4K
macOS 12.0 Monterey

My HP U28 4K monitor sometimes randomly does not connect or recognise my macbook laptop.  It seems to mostly happen if the laptop goes to sleep.  When the laptop wakes up from this, the monitor 'sometimes' stays off and the laptop is in single display mode, at which point it doesnt recognise the monitor.

I am using USB-C to connect the two together.

I am running the latest OS 13 (HP's form doesn't provide that as an option when submitting issues?!) and have updated the firmware of the monitor to 1.0.3.0.

The only way I can get the monitor to connect is by pulling out the power lead and re-inserting it.

Is there a specific HP driver I should be using for the mac?  The support page doesnt list any drivers for mac.

HP - please let me know what I need to do to rectify this issue.

Thank you
