HP V28 4K Monitor
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I purchased this monitor a few weeks ago and have noticed it stutters, no matter what it's doing, about every 4 seconds. Please see the below video for an example of the issue (using testufo.com). The HP monitor is the bottom, and a BenQ monitor is on top, both running on the same machine (as you can see, no stutter on the BenQ):

Can anybody else with this product confirm that theirs does not do this? Is mine just defective?

As far as reducing the issue, I've eliminated all possible causes except for the monitor itself (well, and the power in my flat).

Issue reproduces when:

  • Reducing the resolution to 1080p and 720p.
  • All available refresh rates on Windows.
  • Freesync enabled/disabled (via monitor menu).
  • Installing the official drivers from HP.
  • Using different DisplayPort and HDMI cables.
  • Plugging monitor into a different power outlet.
  • Running only the V28 without the other monitor.
  • Monitor is plugged into different machine.

Issue does not reproduce on a different monitor plugged into the same machine.
