Hi @Juan183

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like your HP Victus 16's built-in camera isn't being detected at all, which could indicate a driver issue, a hardware failure, or a BIOS setting preventing detection.

Here are some steps to troubleshoot:

Check Privacy Settings

  • Go to SettingsPrivacy & securityCamera and ensure that access is enabled for apps.

Run the Camera Troubleshooter

  • Open SettingsSystemTroubleshootOther troubleshootersCamera and run the troubleshooter.

Enable Camera in BIOS

  • Restart your laptop and enter BIOS (usually by pressing Esc, F2, or F10 during boot).
  • Look for an option related to the camera and ensure it is enabled.

Check Device Manager Again

  • Open Device ManagerViewShow hidden devices.
  • If the camera appears, right-click and Update driver.
  • If it doesn’t appear, try scanning for hardware changes.

Update Windows & Drivers

  • Go to SettingsWindows Update and install any pending updates.
  • Visit HP’s support site and download the latest camera drivers for your model.

Check for Physical Camera Kill Switch

  • Some HP laptops have a physical camera kill switch or a function key (e.g., Fn + F6) that disables the webcam.

Perform a Hard Reset

  • Shut down your laptop, unplug it, and hold the power button for 30 seconds before restarting.

Let me know how it goes!
