HP X27q Monitor
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Every so often my monitor will go completely black like its lost power for a second, then it will turn back on by itself. It doesn't say anything about bad signal or connection or anything. Just all black screen for 1-2 seconds, then turns back on. Any ideas?

Hello @Xiph .
The problem you are experiencing may be due to the following:
No input signal
No signal detected
Signal out of range
Synchronization out of range
Cable disconnected
Check cable connection
Warning - PC enters power save mode
... or something similar.

I recommend that you connect the monitor directly to the power outlet, so do not use power strips, adapters, power regulators and try it on another computer and see if the problems occur, and if they still occur replace the cable with which you are transmitting the video and if that does not help either, it is because you really have a hardware problem your monitor.

It may be caused by static electricity especially when the environment is dry (low humidity).

Why does this 4K BENQ monitor mysteriously switch off on it's own? Inadvertently re-visiting an old video. The chair strikes back! Original videos Part 1 to 3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUG_sjS67K4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=weJ4JdFat8o https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pwI2NebT90 Forum:

Sooo i got the same issue. I bought 3 of those monitors. I needed to RMA two of them.
One was a DOA with dead pixels. The backlight of the other one died 10 days later.

And now one(two) of them are experiencing the exact same issue.

One does it regurlarly, day by day, multiple times (It's one of them which got replaced already).
The other one does it every couple weeks and the last one never.

I replaced every cable, made sure power source is consistent, swapped with a known good outlet/cable and it's still happening.
I can't say it has anything to do with humidity too. It just seems like a design error to me if multiple people are experiencing this

So in my case: I should just RMA those two monitors again?
