Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have two issues:

#1 Displayports that are built into the motherboard do not work.

#2 AMD Radeon Pro WX 3200 Series (30.0.14011.6002 (1/4/2022)) when 3 monitors are connected will not boot Windows 10. This worked until April 2023.

Hi @Msbob69

What is the installed processor?

Which build of Windows 10 is installed?

For your issue # 1  (from the User Manual .)
"The DP ports are not supported when the system is configured with Intel® Xeon® E3-12x0 v5 processors. For all other processors, these DP ports are disabled by default when a discrete graphics card is installed.NOTE:Simultaneous use of integrated Intel HD graphics and discrete graphics cards to drive more than two monitors can be enabled using Computer Setup. However, HP recommends using only discrete graphics cards when attaching three or more monitors"

#2

Have you tried switching displays to see if there is a display issue?

Does the PC boot to Windows with two displays connected with the DP cables to the discrete video card ports?

Have you configured the display setup in Windows or with the AMD configuration utility?

There is a more recent  driver software version available from AMD.

re:"This worked until April 2023." That would have me consider a driver or possibly a Windows update issue. CHeck out your updates.

In the Graphics configuration panel are three displays shown as installed? Consider a faulty Displayport/HDMI cable.

I did try each monitor in each port desperately. I found one of the 3 monitors never worked. I then swapped cables and found that same monitor did not work. I was then able to plug in the other 2 monitors and Windows 10 64-bit, would boot. I then switched from using DP to HDMI on the one bad monitor and now my system works again.

For some reason just the DP port will not work when attached to this HP workstation.

Weird but problem solved for now.

The good thing is that both DP and HDMI are digital high resolution video outputs.

So the DP input on the "bad" display" does not work, if I understand correctly what you wrote.

It is good to hear that the issue is resolved.

Brand new HP Z2 Tower i7 pc, display ports not working, I have verified that the DP to HDMI and the DP to DP cables work and I have tried multiple monitors which I know work. Still no output from the PC.

The reason I asked which processor is installed is that with certain processors the DP port is disabled if a discrete video card is installed?

We ask questions for a reason.

You ask questions and expect answers and I do as well.
