HP es 27 monitor
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I also have the es 27 monitor (Canada) purchased from BestBuy.

Monitor works fine attached to my Surface Pro. My question is when the monitor is defaulted as my computers audio output (the monitor has no speakers), can I attach HDMI speakers to the second rear HDMI port and get audio?

Thanks

Jeff

Both ports are HDMI input ports. Its specs

No, this won't work. You can connect speakers to your computer and disable HOMI sound by

(a) Right click speaker icon (bottom right corner),

(b) Select Playback devices,

(c) Reight click HDMI sond and disable.

Regards.

Thanks Guys!

I know I read it, but I guess it just didn't sink in.lol.

I think I had seen other monitors daisy-chained in the past and just thought one might be an output.

Oh well 🙂
