Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a problem with my monitor. It is connected by HDMI the monitor has been working fine and just started this. When you walk away and the screen goes blank after 30 mins and come back move the mouse the screen will come on for 1 second then goes black. Now if I shut the monitor off for a half hour or so and turn it on it works fine till you let it set with out using it and the screen goes off and won't come back on till you shut it down for awhile. Is the monitor bad and need a new one?

Well I sat here and watched  it monitor works fine while your on the computer. When it says going to sleep monitor goes off and when you move the mouse it will flick on for a second then goes black and won't come back on till you turn it off and let it set for awhile then it comes on and works fine till it shuts off in sleep mode.
