I take it that one of the monitors is not working ???

You did not list the computer you are connecting to.  In some HP (and other OEM) systems the built in VGA graphics is disabled when a graphics board is plugged in .  Do both displays show up in the device manager?

Yes, its not detecting the second monitor. The Computer is a HP Prodesk 400G5. An i was referring to the graphics driver under the device manager being up to date

The Pro400 G5 comes with a Display port and a VGA port and an option board (HDMI, USBC, VGA) can be added in the rear.

I assume you have the HDMI option board and have not added a discrete video board.

1 - Look in bios under advanced - ports and see if VGA was disabled.

2 - remove that hdmi option board and see if the VGA starts working.  If so, then get a display port to hdmi adapter instead of using that optoin board.

What about the device manager?  Does it show both monitors?

Sanity check:  verify that VGA is selected on the monitor with the VGA cable.
