I've been using a hdmi to type-c  cable to connect my monitor using the type-c port on my laptop but suddenly its stop working for no reason. I booted up my laptop one day and stop working. My other monitor that I connect using hdmi port is still working fine. But the one that I connected using type-c port stop working... does anyone know how to fix this?

Inspect the USB Type-C Port:

  • Check if there is any physical damage or debris in the USB Type-C port on your laptop. Gently clean it if necessary.

Update Drivers:

  • Ensure that your laptop’s graphics drivers and USB drivers are up to date. You can do this by visiting the HP support website or using the HP Support Assistant tool.

Check Display Settings:

  • Go to Display Settings (right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings"). Ensure that the external monitor is detected. If not, click on "Detect" to see if it recognizes the monitor.
