HP Envy H8-1423
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

AMD/FX-8350/10GB/2TB.  Graphics output has stopped working. Computer won't work on other monitors.  Monitor works with other computers. Changed out the original graphics card with a new card, still no luck.  Tried monitor with DVI, HDMI, and VGA outputs from new card. Still get "no signal" for all three inputs on the monitor screen.  Is there a test I could do at home to determine if the motherboard is at fault?

@rastyng,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

There is no specific test for the motherboard however, you can do a system test and it will let us know if there is any hardware failure.

Follow the below steps to perform a system test on the computer.

  1. Turn on the computer.
  2. Immediately press the f2 key repeatedly, about once every second, until the UEFI menu opens.

When the UEFI menu opens, select the diagnostic test you want to run, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

NOTE: If you need to stop a diagnostic test, press esc.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
