I would like to be able to set the camera settings so that the framing during video calls is a bit more close-up. The default setting is showing too much of the background and less of myself. I know the automatic framing zooms in but I find it very distracting for me and for the other person that the frame keeps moving all the time... Thanks in advance.

Hi @SaraDLP,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To adjust the camera framing on your HP Envy x360 16-inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC, follow these steps.
Check the Camera Settings in Your Video Call Software:
- Most video call applications (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) allow you to adjust the video settings within the app. Look for options like "Video Settings," "Camera Settings," or "Adjust Camera." Some apps provide zoom and framing options that may help.
Disable Automatic Framing:
- If your camera software or video call app has an automatic framing feature, you can usually turn it off to prevent the camera from adjusting the frame during calls. This is often found in the camera settings or advanced settings of the app.
Update Camera Drivers:
- Ensure that your camera drivers are up-to-date. Sometimes, updating drivers can provide additional settings or improve camera functionality. You can do this through Device Manager:
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Imaging Devices section.
- Right-click on your camera device and choose Update driver.
Check HP Support Software:
- HP may provide specific camera management software for your laptop model. Check if there’s an HP app or utility for managing your webcam settings. You can find this in the HP Support Assistant or by visiting the HP website for drivers and software related to your model.
Physical Adjustments:
- If none of the software solutions work, consider physically adjusting your laptop or using an external webcam with adjustable framing.
By tweaking these settings, you should be able to achieve a more suitable camera framing for your video calls.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
