Solved!

How can I get 3840 X 2160 resolution out of my Pavilion Elite e9120y for my new 28" 4K UHD display.

Pavilion Elite e9120y
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The maximum resolution shown on the display menu is 1920 X 1080.  My new 4K UHD (3840 X 2160) display is not clear.  What do I need to do to boost the resoltion for my new display?

@JOHN176, welcome to the forum.

This is going to be a problem since your computer is older (2009).  I am not certain that there is video card that will be compatible with your motherboard that will provide 4K resolution.  The newer high power cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard/Legacy BIOS.  Your best option is, choose a manufacturer and contact their Tech Support to see if they have a card that will work in your system.   They are the experts on their products.

I have seen too many cards that haven't worked that I hesitate to make recommendations.  The sellers pay to ship the card to you, but you pay to return a card that doesn't work.
