Hi @rlwilson688,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Connecting your Roku device to Wi-Fi and setting it up for use is a straightforward process. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through the setup:
**1. Unbox and Connect Your Roku Device
Unbox Your Roku:
- Remove the Roku device, power cable, and remote control from the box.
Connect the Roku to Your TV:
- Plug the Roku device into an available HDMI port on your TV. If your Roku device requires external power, connect the power cable to the Roku and then to a power outlet.
Turn on Your TV:
- Power on your TV and select the HDMI input to which the Roku is connected.
**2. Set Up the Roku Device
Power Up:
- Once the Roku is connected and powered, you should see the Roku logo on your TV screen as it starts up.
Select Language:
- Use the Roku remote to select your preferred language and press “OK.”
**3. Connect to Wi-Fi
Choose Network:
- When prompted, select your Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks. If you don’t see your network, make sure your router is turned on and broadcasting.
Enter Password:
- Use the Roku remote to enter your Wi-Fi network password. You can use the on-screen keyboard to type it in.
Connect:
- After entering the password, select “Connect” or press “OK” on the remote. Roku will connect to your Wi-Fi network. It may take a few moments.
**4. Set Up Roku Account
Create or Sign In to Roku Account:
- You’ll be prompted to either sign in to an existing Roku account or create a new one. You can do this directly on the Roku device or using a web browser on your computer or mobile device.
Complete Setup:
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup. This may involve entering a code from your Roku device into the Roku website.
**5. Update and Configure
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
