Hp 24mh 23.8in. display

My hp 24mh, 23.8 in. monitor just came in today and I just recently tried it out. Everything works fine, except the screen won't show a picture. I tried plugging in (with an hdmi cable) my PS4 and my laptop and the same thing happened both times. The monitor will show the picture for a split second, but will then just go black. It's not that the monitor turns off, its just that the screen goes black after a second. I have tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, holding the power button for 30-60 seconds, and changing the cable that I used. This leads me the think that the unit was broken on arrival. Also, as I was carrying the monitor, I accidently bumped it against a door frame, I dont think hard enough to knock something loose, but that could also be the issue with it. Does anyone have an idea what the problem is? Is there a way to fix it without sending it back or taking it to a repair place? Thanks.

hi

Ok, so not everything is going so well ...
The best you can do these to contact the seller
But if it is found that you have damaged the screen, it may not be taken into account under warranty.
