I have an hp all in one and my LCD screen came broken. Hp will not replace because they will not honour a warranty with a broke screen. Can I connect an external screen with the usb 3.0 via a usb to hdmi converter. My concern is if I need a driver for this and can see the screen to install it? I can't get a straight answer if I can do this as I cannot see the screen at all as it is so distorted. I don't want to spend the money on the adaptor if it will not work as I already spent $$ on this crappy pc

I went through this with my surface pro 4 when screen was flickering.
Connect second monitor and press the Window Key + P
Move the cursor down "once" and press return to (hopefully) select "Duplicate"
Once you get it working, enable Remote Desktop (or use free Splashtop or VNC)
Good Luck!
