My HP ALL in One won’t turn on. The white light indicating it has power is on- but the monitor or fans won’t turn on. When I press the power button absolutely nothing happens- no fans, leds, or the display? I read through multiple forums and none have a solution.

Hi @msanai,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When your HP All-in-One computer won't turn on, despite the white power indicator light being on, it indicates a potential hardware issue. Here's a systematic approach to troubleshoot the problem.
Check Power Connections:
- Ensure that the power cord is securely connected to both the All-in-One computer and the power outlet. Try using a different power outlet or power cable to rule out any issues with the power source.
Reset Power Supply:
- Sometimes, power supply units can become overloaded or experience a temporary fault. To reset the power supply, disconnect the power cord from the All-in-One, press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds, and then reconnect the power cord and attempt to turn on the computer.
Inspect Power Button:
- Check the power button for any physical damage or obstruction. Sometimes, the power button mechanism can get stuck or malfunction, preventing the computer from turning on. Ensure that the power button is functioning properly and is not stuck in the pressed position.
Perform Hard Reset:
- Perform a hard reset by unplugging all external devices (such as USB devices, external drives, etc.) from the All-in-One computer, disconnecting the power cord, and then pressing and holding the power button for at least 30 seconds. Afterward, reconnect the power cord and try turning on the computer.
Inspect Internal Components:
- If you're comfortable with it, you can open the case of the All-in-One computer and visually inspect the internal components. Check for any loose connections, damaged components, or signs of overheating (such as burnt smells or discoloration).
Test RAM and Other Components:
- If you suspect a hardware issue, you can try troubleshooting individual components such as the RAM modules. Remove and reseat the RAM modules, one at a time, to see if it makes a difference. You can also try booting the computer with minimal hardware configuration (e.g., only one RAM module, no external devices) to rule out any compatibility issues or faulty components.
By following these steps, you should be able to diagnose and resolve the issue with your HP All-in-One computer not turning on.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
