There are several, long pages listing the many models in this series.

HP ENVY 13-ah0000 Laptop PC

List here:

Category Product Information > Topic Product Specifications

  1. A quick check of a few of these does NOT show that the computer supports an Active Stylus.
  2. At least one of the models does provide the "Touch Screen" display. (HP ENVY - 13-ah0001na)
  3. Having a touch screen does not mean the computer supports an Active Stylus.
  4. Having a touch screen means the computer might work with a Passive Stylus (notes below).

Find a Stylus for your computer

First, find the computer's exact Model name:

HP Notebook PCs - How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?

Search the document for a compatible stylus:

HP PCs - Touchscreen Compatibility with Pen and Stylus

  • If there is an HP Active Stylus available for your model, it should be included in the document.
  • Pen(s) compatible with your computer are marked with an “X” to the right of your computer model, in the column(s) under the Pen name / description(s).
  • Additional information can sometimes be found in Advisory Documents for your computer.
  • The document is updated as new information becomes available.

Passive Pen / Stylus

If your computer has a touch screen, consider the not-as-much-fun alternative for computers that do not support the Active Stylus.

Reminders:

  • Passive pen is not the same thing as an active stylus.
  • Passive pen does not act like an art pencil.
  • Passive pen does not interact with Windows Ink.
  • Passive pen can be used on the desktop -- open icons, menus, activate programs.
  • Passive pen does not have a battery nor does it contain any electronics used to interface with the screen.
  • Capacitive / Passive pen tips are "fat" to allow the pen to cover enough of the screen area to activate the "touch".  (See article below for actual terms and definitions.)
  • Use your favorite search engine -- search for "active stylus versus capacitive stylus"
