Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

On boot up randomly 2 weeks after I bought this pc I encountered a problem where white pixels would pop up on my screen and my pc wouldn't want to finish loading up windows. After about 2 days of experimenting I was able to turn on my CPU and load windows after factory resetting it and resetting windows but I still have the white pixel problem and it only gets worse as I move my mouse.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Let's try these steps -

If you haven't, Please try an alternate monitor to understand if this is either a hardware or a software failure,

if the issue does not appear on the alternate monitor, you may need to replace the display assembly on your computer,

if the issue appears on the alternate monitor/TV as well, re-install the graphics card drivers & update it from the official HP Website: Click here

If you don’t have an alternate monitor, I recommend checking if the issue appears on the BIOS screen (restart the computer and tap on F10 to access BIOS)

If the issue does not appear in BIOS, reinstall the graphics card drivers & update BIOS using the above link,

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

I tried what you said. When I go into the bios menu via f10 there are no lines but even after downloading both softwares they do not go away. And now my display ports are malfunctioning. Only the hdmi port works.

@GoatSama

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. As you've performed relevant troubleshooting steps and the issue persists it sounds like software related issue.

I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

Perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant:

To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.

Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.

  1. To open HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon https://support.hp.com/doc-images/932/c05040382.jpg.
  2. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
  3. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
  4. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
  5. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
  6. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
