I have a hp tp012019 with a gt1030 DisplayPort/hdmi video card. I purchased a DisplayPort 3 screen adapter, I can get 2 screens to work but the third says display is not active, I have tried to extend them all, no luck, it just swaps to always use 2 out of 3 screens, ran driver easy updated everything, disabled the original graphics card, the computer says the third screen is connected to the gt1030. But says it is not active for the life of me I don’t know what is happening please help how can I get all 3 to work or does my computer not support this It is a 180w psu but it does not work. The WEIRD thing is if I use the display port form the gt1030 to my Lenovo screen, then use display port out form that screen to my other Lenovo screen , and FINALLY use the VGA from the built in graphics card I can run 3 individual screens but that is using 2 separate video cards? Why won’t the gt1080 with DP work with 3 screens alone?

Hi @Rsb88,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're facing a multi-monitor setup issue with your HP Pavilion Desktop PC and the GT1030 graphics card. There are a few things you can check and try to resolve this issue.
- Check Graphics Card Specifications: Ensure that the GT1030 graphics card supports running three monitors simultaneously. Some graphics cards have limitations on the number of monitors they can drive.
- Driver Updates: Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your GT1030 graphics card. Go to the HP website or use their official software to update the graphics card drivers.
- Check Display Settings: Open the display settings on your computer and confirm that all three monitors are detected. Try setting up the display configuration as "Extend" rather than "Duplicate." Also, check if there are any specific settings related to multiple displays in the graphics card control panel.
- Power Supply Unit (PSU) Limitations: Since you mentioned having a 180W PSU, ensure that it provides enough power for the GT1030 and all connected monitors. Some graphics cards may require additional power, and insufficient power could cause issues.
- BIOS Settings: Check your computer's BIOS settings for any options related to multiple displays or graphics card configurations. Ensure that the BIOS is up-to-date.
- Verify Cable Connections: Make sure that all cables, especially the DisplayPort cables, are securely connected. Try using different cables to rule out any cable issues.
- Check Windows Display Settings: In Windows display settings, try detecting and identifying monitors to ensure that all three are recognized by the system.
- Multiple GPU Setup: If the GT1030 alone doesn't work with three monitors, you may need to consider using a secondary GPU or the integrated graphics (VGA from the built-in graphics card) in combination with the GT1030.
Remember to consult your computer's and graphics card's manuals for specific instructions and compatibility information.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
