HP2309m
macOS 10.14 Mojave

hi,  I have just contacted my hp2309m monitor via Hdmi  a new mac mini running on Mojave.  The scaling is not showing the entire screen.  I have tried all the display scaling using the mac without success.  When I tried using the osd option on the monitor I noticed the customise scaling option is greyed out.

Would appreciate any help with this issue.

Thanks

Rod

A warm welcome to HP Support Community!

Resetting the monitor to Factory settings may resolve the issue. In order to reset the monitor to Factory settings, access the OSD menu, select Factory Reset, and then select Yes

Hi

Thanks for your reply.  Factory reset did not resolve the problem.  Further online search suggests that this is 'over/under scan' issue.  I used a thunderbolt3-dvi adapter cable (instead of hdmi-hdmi), which resolved the problem.   The monitor now show the entire screen without any cut-off.

Hope this will help other users.
