Hi @Roshan51,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with keyboard marks on a laptop screen can be a common issue due to the close proximity of the screen and keyboard when the laptop is closed. These marks can be caused by pressure or oils from the keys transferring to the screen.
Here are some steps you can take to mitigate and prevent further damage:
Cleaning the Screen
- Turn off the Laptop: Ensure your laptop is turned off and unplugged before cleaning.
- Use a Microfiber Cloth: Gently wipe the screen with a dry microfiber cloth to remove any marks or smudges.
- Use a Screen Cleaner: If the marks persist, lightly dampen a microfiber cloth with a screen cleaner specifically designed for electronic displays and gently clean the screen. Avoid spraying the cleaner directly onto the screen.
Preventing Future Marks
- Keyboard Cover: Consider using a keyboard cover. This can help prevent direct contact between the keys and the screen when the laptop is closed.
- Screen Protector: Apply a screen protector to create a barrier between the screen and the keyboard.
- Cleaning the Keyboard: Regularly clean your keyboard to remove any oils or debris that can transfer to the screen.
- Proper Closing: Be gentle when closing your laptop to avoid applying excessive pressure on the screen.
Addressing Potential Damage
- Assess Pressure Points: Ensure there are no additional items (like USB drives or papers) left on the keyboard when closing the laptop to avoid added pressure on the screen.
- Professional Cleaning: If the marks are stubborn or if you are concerned about potential damage, consider having your laptop professionally cleaned.
