Hi @BeCo1,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I understand how important it is to regain access to your emails, particularly since you've been experiencing the 404 Page Not Found message for the past 24 hours.
A 404 Page not found message means the webpage or resource being requested cannot be found. Since this is happening while opening emails within mail.com, this does not by itself indicate a hardware problem with your HP computer.
There are also recent public reports from other mail.com users describing the same 404 error when opening emails, so this may not be isolated to your computer.
Before contacting mail.com, you can try:
- Refresh the mail.com page.
- Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
- Try accessing the account using another browser.
- If available, try the mail.com mobile app or another device.
mail.com's own guidance recommends clearing browser cookies/cache and trying a different browser when its web client does not load correctly.
If the same 404 error continues, please contact mail.com Support directly, as they would need to investigate the email account/service from their end.
As this is a mail.com email service issue, HP Support would not have access to the mail.com servers or your mail.com account to correct the error from our end.
I hope this helps point you in the right direction.
Take care and have a good day.
I'm an HP Employee.
