HP 2011x monitor
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to connect my HP 2011x monitor to a VGA port. Is a conversion cable available?

This reply is so clear and helpful.  Thank you very much.  This is a holding reply as I need to look into what cables I have and I may have a further question or two.  However, this is a great start.

According to the manual, the 2011x supports VGA and HDMI or DVI are actually optional

I think all you need is a cable.   If you model is different let me know.

If your computer does not have a VGA connector that is a different problem.

If your computer has this DVI-I connector then you can get a cheap adapter as those 4 pins on the right supply VGA signals.

If your computer has DVI-D then a cheap adapter cannot be used

You can probably buy a used HDMI monitor at goodwill cheaper than a VGA to HDMI/DVI-D adapter.

Using the user manual info helpfully provided, the cable supplied is DVI-D.  I have now checked my stock of cables and find I have a VGA cable that I can use instead.  Many thanks for your help with this.
