I did contact HP Tech Support for help connecting my HP Pavilion 31.5 inch All-in-One Desktop PC 32-b0000i (3N9R3AV) to an external monitor on my HP 27 All-in-One which is about six years old. They advised that my HP 31.5 aio, even though it has three HDMI connections, none of them support 'out' HDMI. My older machine, the HP 27 aoi does and I can see it on the later model via an HDMI connection. However, I want this option the other way around. I want the older model to be the secondary monitor to the HP 31.5. Additionally, the connection was just a video connection and wasn't actually supported by the operating system which is Win 11/Pro on the HP 31.5.
I find it a little strange that there are three HDMI ports only supporting incoming HDMI and not one of them supporting outgoing HDMI and am wondering if anyone can confirm this for me.
I did try a USB-C to USB-C connection, but that didn't work either.
Thank you in advance!
Thanks in advance.
