I have a HP all in one desktop that has a small black page stuck at the bottom right. At the top of the page, it says HP All In One then below it is has options that say color power management information and exit. Its auto shuffling and flashing through the options. I cannot touch this area on the screen where it is. My mouse goes under the page and using the touchscreen does not work on this section either. It is showing at the bottom Current Mode:1920x1080 60hz and across from that says Display: PC.

Hi @lunvualnam,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

It seems like your HP All-In-One desktop is displaying an on-screen display (OSD) menu, which is typically used for adjusting monitor settings. This menu shouldn't be appearing unless manually triggered, and the fact that it's auto-shuffling through options indicates a potential issue. Here are some steps you can take to resolve this:

Basic Troubleshooting Steps

Restart Your Computer: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve unexpected issues.

  • Turn off your computer.
  • Wait for a few minutes.
  • Turn it back on.

Check for Physical Buttons:

  • Some HP All-In-One monitors have physical buttons along the edges or the back for adjusting settings. Ensure none of these buttons are stuck or pressed accidentally.

Reset Monitor Settings:

  • If you can access the OSD menu, look for an option to reset the monitor settings to factory defaults.
  • Navigate to the "Exit" option if possible.

Advanced Troubleshooting Steps

Update Graphics Drivers:

  • Outdated or corrupted graphics drivers can cause display issues. Update your graphics drivers to the latest version.
  • Visit the HP Support website, enter your desktop model number, and download the latest graphics drivers.

Check Display Settings:

  • Right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings".
  • Ensure that the resolution and refresh rate are set correctly (1920x1080 and 60Hz as indicated).

Disconnect and Reconnect Display Cables:

  • Turn off the computer.
  • If possible, disconnect the display cables (HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.) and then reconnect them securely.

Check the next set of steps in the next post.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @lunvualnam,

Please find the next set of steps below.

Boot in Safe Mode:

  • Restart your computer and boot into Safe Mode.
  • This can help determine if the issue is related to software or drivers.
  • If the OSD menu does not appear in Safe Mode, it might be a software issue.

Potential Hardware Issue

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it might be a hardware problem with the monitor's internal components. Here are additional steps:

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Some HP All-In-One desktops have firmware updates for their displays. Check the HP Support website for any available firmware updates for your model.

Contact HP Support:

  • If the issue persists, it might be necessary to contact HP Support for further assistance. Describe the issue and the steps you have already taken.

Professional Repair:

  • If your HP All-In-One is under warranty, consider getting it checked by a professional technician.

Summary

  1. Restart your computer.
  2. Check for and unstick any physical buttons on the monitor.
  3. Update graphics drivers.
  4. Verify display settings.
  5. Disconnect and reconnect display cables.
  6. Boot into Safe Mode to check for software issues.
  7. Look for firmware updates.

These steps should help resolve the issue with the OSD menu being stuck and shuffling through options on your HP All-In-One desktop.

Contact HP phone Support if the problem persists.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
