LA2405x display flickering lines

When using older LA2405x monitor on an Elitedesk G5 desktop, the windows desktop does appear but there are constant flickering colored lines. Is there a fix for this?

A newer e243i monitor works fine.

another effect that i observed: if the LA2405x monitor displays a good image with no flicker lines, then once in awhile, the screen will go completely black spontaneously, and then after a few seconds the screen image reappears. 

very weird.

newer monitor works fine.

have tried other LA2405x monitors and same problem.
