I am not able to get much sound from this monitor. The sound from the monitor is the same as the sound from the mini Mac itself (internal speaker) and I would have expected it to be higher. The button on the monitor is already at 100% and the audio control on the MAC is greyed out for this monitor. I am on Big Sur o/s. Has anyone else had this issue? Request some advice on how I may increase the sound.

Hello
i am not a mac user, but unless someone here can help you with your computer you should ask apple support for help
You have a screen with integrated speakers, on this side you will not be able to change anything, you should not expect an extra sound with that, but:
You indicate that on the computer there is no possibility to modify the sound, you also specified to have Big Sur, I do not know but maybe if you have made a system update, you are missing something !
Your audio controller may not be installed correctly!
Also check, you can possibly connect the audio, with a jack cable, directly to the audio output socket of the computer!
or connect in HDMI, the configuration must be different in the audio parameters, in any case it is like that on pc!

unfortunately it must be different on mac, i don't know
