M224fw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Setup:

HP Envy laptop running Windows 11

2 each HP M24fw monitors

HP USB-c G5 Essential Dock

Monitors are connected via the Dock using Display Port/HDMI cables

NOTE: this configuration is working fine.

The problem:

I have a Dell desktop computer Inspiron 3668 running Windows 10 (64-bit)

It is connected directly to one of the M24fw monitors using VGA cable.

However, when switching the monitor's input to VGA, the desktop image is shifted to the right, far enough that I cannot see the clock, volume, or network status tools that are at the right edge of the tool bar, nor the Minimize/Maximize/Close buttons of a window when maximized.

Attempting to use the OSD buttons to auto-adjust makes the image shift even more to the right.

Attempting to use the OSD buttons to manually shift the image is not enough: setting the position to "0" out of 100 puts the image as described above.

I have attempted to change resolutions, yet each of the various resolution choices makes no improvement.

Disconnecting the VGA cable and reconnecting makes no improvement.

Cycling power for a minimum of 30 seconds makes no improvement.

Any ideas, suggestions, solutions would be welcome and very much appreciated.

Thanks!
