HP Z32 and HP Z27
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I have both the HP Z32 4K and HP Z27 4k displays.

First problem: missing cable. I've only gotten my monitors to work with the USB-C to USB-C connection. All other cables that came in the box fail and do not work. My Z27 came with this cable and my Z32 did not, so I only have one USB-C to USB-C.

Second problem: Unable to connect monitor to monitor. I've been able to borrow a cable from a friend. My monitors only work when I plug two cables individually into my Mac. Is it possible to connect monitor to monitor (daisy chain) instead of two cables into my Mac? I've tried the monitor's output to input but that doesn't seem to work, with USB-C to USB-C and USB to USB-C.

I would have expected more from both of these products.

Unfortunately, daisy chaining DisplayPort monitors does not seem to currently work in macOS.

This requires a DisplayPort technology called MST.  And the macOS does not currently support MST for daisy chaining monitors.

There is a pretty good discussion at MacRumors

And if you search macOS and MST you will find many other discussions.

I have been hoping for this support for quite some time as well.
