So i have 2 HP monitors on a stand and a Dell docking station.
When i work from home i plug my laptop into the docking station.
This gives me access to a proper mouse and keyboard, charges my laptop, wires internet access and of course two monitors plugged into the Display ports to work from. All from one USB C connection into the laptop.
This works great.
However when i turn the laptop off or disconnect it, One of the monitors switches to my CCTV which is plugged in via VGA.
that isnt the problem, in fact i like that.
What i would like to happen is that when i plug the laptop in again the Monitor switches back to Display Port, it doesnt.
How can i make Display port the default display if its active?

Hello!
Your HP monitors are correctly switching to CCTV when your laptop is off, but not automatically back to DisplayPort when reconnected via the Dell dock. To fix this, access your HP E273 monitor's On-Screen DQFan Feedback (OSD) settings and look for options like "DP Hot-Plug Detection," "Input Priority," or "Auto-Switch Input." Set the DisplayPort input to be "Always Active" or the preferred default to ensure it automatically switches when a signal is detected. Also, ensure your Dell WD19TBS dock and laptop's graphics drivers are up to date.
