Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
- Step 1: Checking power
- Step 2: Displaying a built-in on-screen message
- Step 3: Fixing a bad video connection
- Step 4: Testing the video connection
- Step 5: Connecting the monitor to a different computer. Click here: https://support.hp.com/gb-en/product/hp-value-27-inch-displays/3989902/model/10402870/document/c0129... to complete the troubleshooting steps.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thank you for the response.
I need you to understand properly my position. The problem IS NOT replicable. It is NOT a black screen (as per the link sent). It works perfectly and then it will go black for a second and then again and again for a couple of times. It then works perfectly again.
I could change the monitor (which I do not have) or cables and nothing might happen for 2-3 days or even weeks.
I therefore cannot check or "test" the issue.
I am trying to find out if there is any monitoring software that I can install or if windows 10 has anything (Event Viewer)
