Hello to everyone. I just purchased an additional display (HP 24F) for my mother and suddenly she said the audio is not working. I don't know if the monitor itself comes without audio (I have searched online and looked at the manual but couldn't figure it out!) or if there is a real issue. The HDMI cable is okay. The PC recognizes the display and when I try the audio (right click on the audio icon, bottom-right of the desktop) it seems like it is perfectly working but no sound comes off.

The monitor does NOT have speakers, its specs

You can't get sound from monitor. Where do you connect it to ? Machine may send sound thru HDMI port (which does not have speakers) therefore your can disable HDMI sound and enable default sound. For Windows 7 please
(a) Right click speaker icon (bottom right),
(b) Select Play back devices,
(c) Disable HDMI sound (or 24F),
(d) Enable sound (sorry, I don't know your machine therefore can't say which one, may be Realtek)
(e) Click Apply/Ok
Regards.
