The OSD menu does not go away and comes back in the middle of my screen. It appears with its volume screen set at zero. Every time I press "Menu" it goes away but within a few seconds it comes back.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
I understand that the OSD menu windows continuously appearing, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

  • Power off the PC and monitor.
  • Unplug the monitor and hold down the monitor's menu button for 30-60 seconds.
  • Plug the monitor back in and then power up the system.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Removing the power cable and pressing the menu for about 30 seconds did not help. Has someone an idee what the matter is??

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. This sounds like hardware related issue with the Monitor in order to fix this issue,  your unit needs to be serviced.  As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.
