I tried out different settings on the monitor. Two settings remain a mystery to me though. 1 HP Enhance+, 2 Game setting.

Right now I have it on custom setting.

I would like to explore the other settings too though. What exactly do these settings do and what kind of benefits do they have for gaming or multimedia?

thanks!

Thank you for responding,

To be honest, it's a combination of all of the options you've provided,

And I do not have the details on how much each setting is increased percentage-wise, you may have to experiment on the same.

@GerritNel

Welcome to HP Forums,

Let's get straight to it!

Did you change the settings to identify the difference?

If you haven't, here's what you need to do: Click here to check your user guide.

(I meant the products user guide) 😛

Here's all you need to know about the "My Display software":

  • Use My Display software to choose preferences for optimum viewing.
  • You can select settings for gaming, movies, photo editing or just working on documents and spreadsheets.
  • You can also easily adjust settings such as brightness, color, and contrast using My Display software.

Basically, it's brightness/contrast presets that help you view the game or multimedia better using the QuickView If the OSD menu is inactive, press to activate the Quick View button that chooses different settings (HP Enhance+, Movie, Photo, Gaming, Text, Custom) that redirects to the same option as mentioned above.

I hope that clarifies,

So I installed the mentioned software. But no difference is being seen whatsoever.

The preset HP Enhance only distorts the image immensely. I cannot imagine a situation where this would be helpful. The game setting does nothing for the refresh rate or Hz? Then this too isn't too helpful as I callibrate the screen in a setting 'custom'.

So if I have this correctly, the other options don't do anything special.

Thank you for responding,

This is the Riddle_Decipher, again!

That's right, the settings don't make any change to the way the games work, only how they look!

To make changes to the way they work, you need to make use of the computer, more specifically the graphics card settings and if you need any help resolving the game performance as such, I'll need the product name or number of the device you need help with and I'll do everything in my power to help you resolve the issue with the same.

For now, I hope my answer was helpful,

If it was, please feel free to mark this post as the solution to help the community grow,

And you may hit the purple thumbs up to say thanks.

Have a good day.

I'm just trying to understand what the different options actually have to offer.

The thing that still eludes me is the Enhance+...in what situation would it be helpful to turn it on? What does this function do?

@GerritNel

Welcome back!

To let you know, the HP Enhance+ just as all other features tweaks the way your screen looks,

Additionally, it may improve the monitor refresh rate to match the game settings to beautify the same.

I hope that answers your query,

ok!

Do you per chance know what it tweaks? Is it gamma? Sharpness? Contrast? Because i can't recreate the same effect manually.

This way i can customise the effect HP is trying to acheive.
