OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop PC GT22-0000a (4E977AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

On turning on my PC the monitor triggers as displays the Omen logo with a swirling 'loading' icon before the monitor cuts out and switches as if there is no input and then goes black immediately.

This happened with my previous device i had ordered and spent some time with hp support who recommended i return the item after going through some steps launching bios etc, however this is now happening again with aa new item so must be something happening.

In both cases the PC worked perfectly for the first day until i turned it off overnight, i have tried different devices (my xbox) on the monitor, i do not have another Monitor to try.

one strange thing is when the monitor swtches off it does so much quicker then if i turned off my xbox but left the monitor on, it does not hover on the input source screen just flashes there then goes black.

Any ideas!?

See if deleting the hibernation file fixes the problem

If not in command prompt mode already ---

In addition bring up the device manager and look for any alerts

This is unusual, especially since you replace the computer and the same thing happened.  When the computer was replaced was the graphics board replaced?   I assume you got a new NVidia graphics board as well.

When this happens does the keyboard still work?   As you tap the Caps Lock key does a light on the keyboard blink on and off?  That indicates the system is running but not displaying anything.  Do you see the LED status light blinking?  That indicates disk activity.

Can you run diagnostics?  Tap the ESC key after turning on the power and run one pass through diagnostics.  Report any failures.

Possibly the resolution of your system when windows finally loads can not be handled by the monitor.

Try booting into safe mode.

If you can get into safe mode then possibly the problem can be resolved.

Sorry should have been clearer, they are two separate systems, the initial one is in the process of being returned and have a completely separate second system.

Keyboard and mouse both trigger and can hear the system put in more effort when they are pressed and the keyboard and mouse RGB illuminate, will look into the other options in a bit

There are some other possibilities that can be looked at.

Your system has fast boot enabled.  Fast boot uses the hibernate file.  If the system was not shut down properly the hibernate file may be corrupted.  Every time you turn on the computer (except safe mode) the same hibernate file will be loaded.

Turning the computer off by using the switch on a power strip can cause problems if the power is terminated before the system has fully shutdown.

An ill-formed app or process can  "veto" a shutdown request and not bother to display a message to that effect.  The system may look like it turned off but it did not.

[edit] When you get a new or replacement system you should do all the windows 11 and HP Support Advisor updates before installing any games or activating any stream accounts where game modules get downloaded and installed.

Also, it does not appear your system has cloud recovery tools but I guessed at your product ID

Please use the windows backup tools before installing any games

I am glad you got it working!

You might be able to use msconfig in the future to help debug problems

msconfig can be run from in safe mode or regular mode

the above shows that on the next boot "save & network & base video" are selected along with a GUI interface

That way a download of drivers can be done and the system will boot using 800x600 which generally works on any display.
