Noticing that the 23er monitor will go dark on me throughout the day. Its been occurring more frequently for the past 2 weeks. I'm connected to a Surface Pro laptop via HDMI. The Windows 10 OS has the latest display drivers and on the latest release. I've done some research and cannot find any specific resolution to this issue. I have it configured to be my 2nd monitor. I will try replacing the HDMI cable as a test (is less than a year old) as well as the converter cable from Surface to HDMI. Any other suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

@Taino1963
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
- Have you made any hardware/software changes?
- What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824
While you respond to that, let's try these steps:
- Note Before you begin: Turn off the computer.
- And disconnect all connected devices from the computer except the mouse and keyboard. This includes removing thumb drives and camera-type memory cards.
Step 1: Checking the power
Step 2: Displaying a built-in on-screen message
Step 3: Fixing a bad video connection
Step 4: Testing the video connection
Step 4: Connecting the monitor to a different computer
- Use the steps in this document: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-value-23-inch-displays/7274744/model/10402854/document/c0129... to resolve this issue or to determine if the monitor is defective.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
