Hi @abcd1234893206,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that your monitor is not working properly, here are several steps you can follow to diagnose and potentially resolve the issue:

Input Source:

  • The monitor may be set to the wrong input source (HDMI, VGA, etc.). Use the monitor's menu or input button to select the correct input source that matches the port to which your computer is connected.

Test with Another Device:

  • Connect the monitor to a different computer, if possible, to determine if the issue lies with the monitor or the computer's video output.

Graphics Card Check:

  • Ensure that the graphics card is properly seated in its slot, especially if you're using a desktop computer. Also, check the device manager on your computer for any warnings regarding the graphics card.

Display Settings:

  • Use the keyboard shortcut (e.g., Windows + P on Windows systems) to toggle display modes such as extend, duplicate, or second screen only. This can sometimes resolve display detection issues.

Monitor Settings:

  • Reset the monitor to factory settings via its on-screen display menu.

Diagnostic Tests:

  • Some monitors have built-in diagnostic tests or Self-Test features accessible through the menu. Run these tests to check for hardware issues.

Driver Update:

  • Ensure that the latest display drivers are installed on your computer. Visit the manufacturer's website for the latest driver updates.

Take care and have an amazing day!
