@Westwest24, Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're stoked to have you on board!

Meanwhile, you may try these steps:

Check the Monitor's Power Button

  • Press the power button on the monitor to see if it wakes up. Sometimes, the monitor needs to be manually turned on from sleep mode.

Check the Power Connection

  • Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the monitor and the power source.
  • Check the power LED on the monitor. If it's not lit, there may be an issue with the power connection.

Check the Computer's Connection

  • Verify that the video cable (HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, etc.) connecting the monitor to the computer is securely plugged in.
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting the video cable to ensure there are no loose connections.

Keyboard or Mouse Activity

  • Move the mouse or press a key on the keyboard. This may wake the monitor up, as many systems are set to wake up when there is input from the keyboard or mouse.

Check for System Sleep Mode Settings

  • On your computer, ensure that the power settings are correctly configured:
    • Windows: Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Change plan settings and make sure that the display is set to turn off after a certain period of inactivity.
  • Ensure the monitor or computer is not set to enter sleep mode too quickly.

Adjust the Refresh Rate

  • If you see a "No signal" message or the screen remains blank, your monitor might not be getting the correct display signal from your computer.
    • Windows: Right-click on the desktop > Display settings > Advanced display settings and change the refresh rate to match your monitor's specifications.

Test with Another Device

  • Connect your monitor to a different computer or device (e.g., a laptop, gaming console, etc.) to see if the monitor itself is working properly.

Perform a Hard Reset

  • Unplug the monitor from the power source for at least 30 seconds to perform a hard reset.
  • Plug it back in and try to power it on again.

Check for Monitor Buttons or Menu Settings

  • Some HP monitors have on-screen display (OSD) settings that allow you to adjust the sleep mode. Press the monitor's menu button and navigate through the options to disable sleep mode, if available.

Update Graphics Drivers

  • Check if your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can cause display issues:
    • Windows: Go to Device Manager > Display adapters, right-click on your graphics card, and select Update driver.

Try a Different Power Cable or Adapter

  • If you suspect the power cable might be faulty, try using another cable or adapter to ensure it's not the source of the issue.

I hope these steps help resolve the issue
