My computer is suddenly having a a serious problem. 8 hours ago it was working perfectly fine and when I attempted to turn it on this morning it does not seem to register with my monitor. My monitor picks up the signal from my computer but nothing happens past that, it stays at the dark blue luminated screen... I have tried using a different monitor and the same thing has happened. I have attempted the trouble shooting options for this problem on the support page and have had no success. The fan does run when computer turns on and my monitor says VGA and DMI detected but nothing shows up.
Again I believe I have tried all the trouble shooting options already. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting every cable inside the computer and cleaned off the dust. I am worried this might be an unsolvable problem but I cannot believe what could have caused it because 8 hours prior it ran perfect as normal. Any help is much aappreciated thank you.

I am having the same / similar problem with my AMD Radeon HD 6670 graphics card on my HP Pavilion h8-1160t. Problem started on November 14th. I am able to boot in Safe Mode, log into Windows 10, and access my pc. But I need to find a fix to use the full resolution of my monitor and other functions that are disabled in Safe Mode. As a starting point, I suggest that you try booting in Safe Mode and see if that allows you to log in to Windows without getting the black screen. Also, what graphics card is installed in your computer and what display adapter (graphics card driver) you are using?

Greetings @zaulfer,
Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.
I understand that you are unable to boot the computer to the desktop, get a blank blue screen, is that right?
Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.
Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.
Did you have any external devices connected to your computer?
Are you able to boot the computer to BIOS or Recovery manager?
Did you try to run a System test on your computer?
Perform a Hard Reset on your computer. Click here.
Turn the computer Off.
Disconnect all the cables connected to your computer.
Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds after disconnecting every cable. (this would remove any static left on the computer.)
Connect Monitor, USB keyboard and Power cable to the computer.
Turn the computer On and keep tapping F2 repeatedly on startup and check if the computer enters system diagnostics. Click here.
If the computer boots to System diagnostics, run a system test.
If the test passes, shut down your computer and perform a Hard reset again.
Turn the computer On and keep tapping F11 on startup to enter Recovery manager and perform a system restore.
Refer to this HP Article and try the procedure mentioned under "Using System Restore when Windows 7 cannot start normally".
This should resolve the issue you are facing.
If the tests fail, please contact our phone support team to check the service options available for your computer.
If your computer does not enter System diagnostics or Recovery manager, you would have to perform a recovery on your computer using the recovery kit created on your computer.
If you do not have a copy of the recovery kit, please contact our phone support team to check the shipping options available.
Let me know if this helped.
