Product: display w1907

I have been using a w1907 monitor on a wrecked Dell 830 under Vista Biz for years as a second desktop. Now it suddenly says something like "out of range, reset to 1440x900." but that setting is not available on the slider.  In advanced settings I see that I am using a "VGASave" driver. I downloaded and ran driver sp34254.exe but to no avail. I don't think there is actually anything wrong with the display.
