20wd
Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

Hello,

I have a HP 20wd monitor which i got awhile ago because I got a second-hand desktop running windows 10.

Now I have a Mac Book Air 11inch running OS X 10 up-to date.

The problem is that the monitor will only display the windows desktop, not the Mac.

The mac CAN recognise the display in the settings, it also scales the screen on the laptop to that of the monitor, but does not display anything.

The output is through the thunderbolt adapter to a VGA in the monitor.

I have tried to change the settings on the monitor, althhough there seems to be no drivers for windows 10 for the monitor.

any Ideas?

Thanks for your help!

I used the DVI -D input and cable on the screen, and it seems to be behaving normally (YAY)

Hi there mate the monitor only can stream through one output not multi so if you going to use a mac on the same montor you got to shutdown the windows pc/laptop or disconnect it.

If this helped you please drop a kudos point. Thanks

Kind Regards

It may be a corrupted OS i use mac's myslef not much a Windows person but in the IT world got to deal with what you is hold ALT key wait till you see 2 disk partition one named Macintosh other one 10.x.x Recovery click on the recovery and install the the OSx what it will do is fix any corruption within the OS best thing is to do back up all files just in case i've done it so many times didn't lose anything but do a BACKUP.
