Hello,

Whenever my PC wakes up, my monitor gives the "no input found, monitor going to sleep" indicator.  I have to manually restart the PC every time this happens as a work around.  Please help!

Computer details:

PC - 2009 HP Pavilion Elite m9550f

Monitor - HP w2207 monitor version GTMV1.7

Welcome to the HP Support Community

L et's try these steps here:

Perform a Hard reset on the Monitor:

Cycle the power on the monitor as follows:

  1. Turn off the monitor. The power light on the monitor should be off. Leave the computer turned on.

  2. Unplug the power cord.

  3. Wait 5 seconds.

  4. Plug in the power cord.

  5. Press the power button on the monitor to turn on the monitor.

Next thing, I would suggest here is to Uninstall the display drivers from device manager and then update the drivers:

Right-Click on start button> click device manager> expand display adapters>then select the display drivers that are listed and right-click on it and uninstall the drivers.

Check the box that states delete the software for this device.

Now restart the computer and then update the Bios, Chipset, and graphics card drivers on your PC from the support website.

Also, download and install HP support assistant on your PC. It should automatically download and install the latest updates and drivers for your PC.

Refer to this Document: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03467905 for HP support assistant.

Alternatively, you can go through the steps suggested in the support document for - HP and Compaq Flat Panel Monitors - Flat Panel Monitor Displays Message about No Signal, Signal out ...

Now that you had me uninstall the display driver and the related software, I am unable to specifically find where or how to update the Bios, Chipset, and graphics card drivers on the PC from the support website.

Thanks a lot for making my situation worse.
