@Dumb0 -- Is this your monitor: HP Pavilion 25bw IPS LED Backlit Monitor - Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

The page lists:

External power supply --
Power consumption: 30 Watts max power consumption (28 Watts typical power consumption) ,
0.5 Watt energy saving mode

Do you have a "multimeter" to measure the voltage and wattage being produced by the external "brick", as compared to the values listed on the label on the "brick" ?

Got a friend with the same "brick", so that you can try to power your monitor from their "brick" ?

Check that the power-cord from the brick to the power-bar (or wall socket) is OK. Can you replace that power-cord?

Is the socket where the other cord from the brick connects to your monitor in good shape? Loose? Broken?

I don't know which would be more expensive: taking the monitor & brick to a TV repair technician, for repair, or to "bite the bullet", and purchase a new monitor.

@Dumb0 --  it looks like mike is missing the buttons

II have seen one LG monitor that had a "joystick" that did everything -- no buttons.

Press on the tip to power on/off, and to activate the OSD ("On Screen Display") controls.

Tilt the joystick to move the highlighting of the OSD, and to "click" on each choice.

The joystick was "under" the centre-bottom of the screen. You have to "feel" with your finger to find the joystick.

Interesting design!
