Multiple display setup HP Pavilion p6-2100

I am trying to set up a second monitor on this computer through the dvi port using a 15 pin adapter. I get a message on the second monitor that cable is not connected (it is).  Is it possible to set up a second monitor on this computer

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues setting up the second monitor on the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I checked the specifications of your computer based on the information you have provided and see that DVI and VGA ports are available on the computer and the use of both the VGA and DVI ports at the same time is supported.

I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check if it helps.
