Microsoft Windows 11

I use the monitor for a lot of things, but mainly I use it for some light gaming. Even smaller Roblox games that should not give my computer this odd issue, as I always turn the graphics to the lowest whenever I do game. At some point during a gaming session, my monitor will randomly go blank, before displaying the infamous "Display Going to Sleep" as well as the "Input signal not found," message if I can remember. I am not sure what is the problem, or rather how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.

@franklin41, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Monitor Sleep Issues!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Experiencing your HP All-In-One monitor going to sleep during light gaming can be frustrating. Based on the information you provided, here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Power Settings: Ensure your computer's power settings aren't configured to put the display to sleep too early. Go to the Control Panel > Power Options and select a power plan that is not set to turn off the display after a short period.

Update Graphics and Monitor Drivers: Verify that you have the latest drivers for your graphics card and monitor. You can obtain the latest drivers from HP Support or your graphics card manufacturer’s website.

Ensure Proper Ventilation: Confirm that your monitor and computer have adequate airflow and aren't overheating, which can cause them to enter sleep mode unexpectedly due to protection mechanisms.

Check Monitor Connections: Ensure that all cables (e.g., HDMI, Display Port) are securely connected. Loose connections can interrupt the signal between your computer and monitor.

Adjust Sleep Settings in the Monitor's OSD: Use the on-screen display menu on the monitor to adjust settings related to sleep or power state if available.

Disable Screen Blanking Utilities: Look for any screen blanking utilities that might be automatically blanking the screen after a certain period, and disable them.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
