My HP All-in-One - 24-g014 (Touch) (ENERGY STAR) is saying pen and touch not available.
I bought this in 2016 and now my touchscreen isn't working and is saying under device specifications pen and touch aren't available for this display which makes no sense.

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
-
Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
-
Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
-
Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
-
Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
-
Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Also ensure Windows is up to date.
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

Thanks for replying!
Update the BIOS and graphics driver
Installing an updated version of the graphics card driver might repair touch screen functionality. Go to Downloading or Updating Software and Drivers for HP Computers for instructions to find the latest graphics driver for your computer.
-
For notebook PCs, go to HP Notebook PCs - Updating the BIOS.
-
For All-in-One PCs, go to HP Desktop PCs - Updating the BIOS.
If the touch screen still does not respond, continue to the next step.
Reset your computer
Go to Resetting Your Computer (Windows 10)
Keep me posted for further assistance.

I have a few steps that should resolve your concern:
I recommend checking if the Touch is working on BIOS (Accessed by tapping on F10 while restarting the computer).
If it works on bios, it's a software issue, update the drivers from the HP Website, if the issue persists: please reinstall windows using the recovery partition or the recovery media to fix the issue
Attempt to run a test using the HP hardware diagnostic tool,
If it doesn't work on BIOS or the diagnostics tool either,
it's a hardware failure and you may need to Contact HP Support to set up a hardware repair service.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
