Hi @Farhan0963,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're encountering a common issue with the touchpad driver on your HP Pavilion X360 15 Convertible PC. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem.
- Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes a simple restart can fix driver-related issues. Restart your laptop and see if the touchpad starts working again.
- Check for Windows Updates: Make sure your Windows operating system is up to date. Sometimes, Microsoft releases updates that include fixes for driver issues.
- Update Touchpad Driver: Go to the Device Manager, locate the "I2C HID device" under "Mice and other pointing devices" or "Human Interface Devices," right-click on it, and select "Update driver." Choose the option to search for updated driver software automatically. If an update is found, let it install and then restart your laptop.
- Roll Back Touchpad Driver: If you recently updated the touchpad driver and started experiencing issues afterward, you can try rolling back the driver to the previous version. In the Device Manager, right-click on the touchpad device, select "Properties," go to the "Driver" tab, and click "Roll Back Driver" if available.
- Uninstall and Reinstall Touchpad Driver: If updating or rolling back the driver doesn't work, try uninstalling the touchpad driver completely and then reinstalling it. In the Device Manager, right-click on the touchpad device, select "Uninstall device," and follow the prompts. After uninstalling, restart your laptop, and Windows should automatically reinstall the driver. If not, you may need to download the driver from HP's website and manually install it.
- Check for Hardware Issues: If none of the software solutions work, there may be a hardware issue with the touchpad itself.
- System Restore: If the issue started recently and you're not sure what caused it, you can try using System Restore to revert your system to a previous state where the touchpad was working fine. Search for "System Restore" in the Windows search bar and follow the prompts to restore your system to a restore point before the issue occurred.
By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the touchpad issue on your HP Pavilion X360 15 Convertible PC.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

i have tried all these solutions but none of them worked.
Whenever I update the driver, the touchpad works only for some while and then stops again.
Can you please tell me a permanent solution to this.
It would be really helpful.
Thanks.

I am facing the issue consistently.
In the device manager whenever i update the driver by selecting the drivers available in the computer.
it works for a short time but after a while it stops working again.
Is there any solution available to this?
Your help would be much appreciated.
