Product: OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop PC IDS Base Models (ArticunoI)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

My OMEN Desktop Computer stops working around 10PM nightly and says it needs to shut down and reboot.   My computer shuts down and reboots on its own.  Need help?

Is the shutdown/reboot prompt a Windows prompt or a UEFI prompt?

 

Please post a screen image of this prompt, if this is possible, in your next reply to this thread. Capturing a screen image would not be possible if the PC reboots without user interaction.

 

I've been building PCs since 1997 and have never encountered a daily repetitive Windows reboot unless a Windows update was happening.

 

I've also never experienced Windows updates every night around the same time.

 

Did you install software which would cause nightly system restarts?

 

Very perplexing!

 

Maybe a different Forum member can assist.

 

I would love to know what is happening!
