Hi @234445565,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you might be experiencing a display issue with your HP laptop. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:
Check Connections: If you're using an external monitor, ensure that the cables are securely connected. Try using a different cable or port if possible.
Update Graphics Drivers: Go to the HP website or use Device Manager to check for updates for your graphics drivers.
- Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.
- Expand "Display adapters," right-click your graphics card, and choose "Update driver."
Adjust Display Settings: Right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings." Make sure the resolution and refresh rate are set to recommended values.
Boot in Safe Mode: Restart your laptop in Safe Mode to see if the flickering persists. If it doesn't, it may indicate a software issue.
Check for Hardware Issues: If possible, connect your laptop to an external monitor. If the flickering occurs only on the laptop screen, it may be a hardware issue with the screen itself.
Run Hardware Diagnostics: HP laptops often have built-in diagnostics. Restart your laptop and repeatedly press the F2 key during startup to access the diagnostics menu.
Reset Your Laptop: If none of the above work, consider resetting Windows or performing a system restore to a point when the issue wasn’t present.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
